On
the newer clutch masters; both the Nissan and aftermarket
cylinders; the fluid line is metric threaded.
Over
the years we have seen that many times people (even
"mechanics") just seem to put the SAE thread line on the
roadster into it and gunge the threads up. Sometimes it
works for awhile but of course both pieces are
damaged.
The
cylinders we sell will have a removable little thread
adapter so no THREAD GUNGING is necessary. This only
presents one problem. As it is the hard line comes up
near the fender well and does a sharp bend to the master
cylinder. With the adaptor there; little as it is; you
need to pull the line back and if need be reform it a bit
(I just use my wrist to do it) so the line goes into the
adaptor exactly parallel; otherwise you can ruin the
threads on the adapter or the line.
I
usually leave the adapter loose in the cylinder while I
am doing this until I have the hard line threaded into
the adapter straight and the tighten both.
These
come with an adjustable push rod so you can put your
pedal where you want it; or you can also use your old
pushrod.
