Handles
were available as an assembly with the attaching
bracket or as just the bare handle. Typically when the
type with the bracket was purchased you also received
the long connecting rod that ran to the latch on the
other end of the door; sometimes with the entire latch
attached!

There
were actually two different types of interior door
open handles used from 68-70. In late 1969 production
Nissan gave up on the "quick-to-pop-off" plastic
do-dad trim. They altered the handle a bit and began
glueing in typical seat vinyl in between the chrome
ridges. You can do this on the 68-69 handles but it
doesn't look as good as it does on the 69-70 handles.
We have taken a couple of pictures to show the actual
difference. The chrome edge goes around the sides on
both handles but on the later handles this raised edge
is also on the ends of the handles. At this point;
August 2018 we are just about out of both types in a
new part but will leave this up to help in keeping
with our attempts at getting as much info out as
possible. There was no VIN given in the parts book as
to when this change took place; we estimate about
SRL311-12000 and SPL311 26000.
