The upper balljoints that were used before 1968 came with the seal shown on the left. Many joints have already been replaced with the newer style so check yours before ordering. It's also possible your 68-70 could have the older style boots.

LOWER BALL JOINT BOOT INFO

The lower balljoints that were used before 1968 came with a seal that included a rubber piece that looked like a cereal bowl and a metal cup that fit inside it. These are long gone, most people just make do with the 68-70 type B Boot. It seems to work OK.
