PICTURE
NOTE: I hate taking pictures of used chrome parts;
it is almost impossible to get a true rendition of
what your eye sees. The picture can easily look better
worse than reality; which is definitely NOT what we
are hoping for. The light just plays too many
tricks.
Basically
the description would be a nice used frame that is
shiny and does not have apparent rust on the chrome.
It has sat indoors here for 35 years; at least. People
ask for these now an then and once in awhile I get an
energy charge and dig just a little bit deeper into
this place and turn up something or someone calls and
asks WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO GET THAT CAR OUT OF MY
BUILDING YOU LEFT HERE FOR 6 MONTHS IN
1979?
The
67.5s have the inside of the frame painted; not
chrome; sometimes just paint OVER chrome. Overall very
nice part compared to most every one we see; or spend
$$$ to "show" chrome it for perfection. Maybe a few
tiny pin pits but VERY few of any. Not evident unless
examined in your hand. I didn't see much of anything
I'd call a defect when I held it in my own hands.
There is a rough line on the lower piece where the
edge of the weatherstripping sat and the chrome under
where the rubber sat is worse than the area that sat
in the air. No rust apparent on the chrome though. It
is old chrome; but is shiny in appearance. The inside
would need to be repainted in the ugly dull silver to
look nice. I'd probably paint the inside of the frame
to match the exterior of the car if I was doing that
myself. The screws all look to be great fun to remove.
There are a couple of broken ones I noticed; I think
where the visor mounts would attach. If there ever was
a place to use larger screws and those made out of
stainless steel it is these frames!!!
