SHIFT
FORK INFO:
Some show virtually no wear; we are notating them as
"<001" (under 1 thousandths of an inch) . Actually the
original thickness of the forks varies more than that.
Feel of wear on the fork is amplified by the length of
the shift lever under your shift knob. I found one that
had .040" and another that was worn .100"!
"Wear"
refers to increase in internal diameter on each engaging
outer one third of coupling. Also critical; probably more
so; is how beaten up the little dog teeth are. Many a
little worn piece has to be cast aside because the dog
teeth are going to present a problem.
Deduct
20% on couplings if you are also buying new synchro rings
and bearings from us.
"Wear"
refers to decrease in external diameter with ring in a
relaxed state.
This is due to both wear on ring and loss of spring
tension.
Parts

specific measurement or unique characteristic that
needs them to have their own special part number. They
are useable as is. They all vary in condition as all
used parts do. The "DU-" parts above; that is for THAT
SPECIFIC PART.
